In 1915 the Lincoln Highway Association President Henry Bourne Joy organized and commanded a tour from the Packard Automobile Plant in Detroit, MI to the Pan Pacific Exposition in San Francisco, CA along the then completed first alignment of the long needed Lincoln Highway “First Improved Road Across America” spanning the continent from NY to CA.
Lincoln Highway Association members, Rosemary Rubin, Bob Lichty, Paul Gilger along with many others formed a committee and produced an anniversary tour traversing the same route 100 years later. Henry’s 1915 tour clocked 23 days. The 2015 tour accomplished the same in 12 days.
This CD photographic presentation represents the 2015 tour with over 1,600 text narrated photos and images.
